East Plus Partnership
Commissioned to work with the report authors of a mid-point review of the £120 million SEGRO / Greater London Authority regeneration scheme.
East Plus is a long-term partnership to bring 86 acres of public land in east London into productive use: new industrial floorspace, higher standards on sustainability and intensification, and jobs and training for people who live nearby. By the mid-point, the partnership had delivered or secured planning for over a million square feet of employment space and created up to 613 jobs.
The review had to make that progress legible to two very different readers at once: the people inside the partnership, who knew every site, and councillors, funders and residents who had never heard of it. SEGRO brought me in to lead the final phase. Over six months I worked directly with the authors at Gerald Eve on structure, narrative and cut, so that what had changed stood out from what had been done, and a reader with no prior knowledge could follow the argument from the first page.
