A chance re-encounter in 2022 with an old college friend led to the idea of fully fledged festivals on trains as a response to widespread closures of venues, and to encourage people to switch from short-haul flights to more sustainable travel.

While the logistics of licensing a train is proving tricky, we managed to build a bit of momentum around the venture. After a mention in the London Evening Standard, I was approached by SUITCASE Magazine who commissioned an essay about European rail travel for their “Visionary” issue, which was published in March 2023.
