Stef Macbeth is a Berlin based writer and creative leader, and founder of The Night Trains, a global creator platform bringing nightlife to Europe’s rail network. He runs a small studio serving international clients, with a focus on sustainable transformation projects for b2b companies and prestige storytelling tools.
Stef studied Philosophy at University of Glasgow and won the Edward Caird Medal for Philosophy in 2005. Throughout the Naugties he worked as a freelance music journalist and was a promoter at Glasgow’s Sub Club, home to artists including Optimo, Harri & Domenic and LuckyMe. In 2006 he moved to London, where he was hired by ad agencies and helped create acclaimed campaigns for Tourism Ireland, The Havens and the Metropolitan Police, and co-authored the copywriting syllabus for the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
His debut novel FOLK is longlisted for the 2023 McKitterick Prize. He has also written for SUITCASE magazine, DMY, The Big Issue, and others. His work has appeared at major shows such as Internet Week Europe, Cannes Festival of Creativity, and the Clio Awards.
